Dr Alison Chiu is a Fellowship trained Ophthalmologist from Australia, specialised in lens and laser based refractive surgeries and complex cataract surgery, working in busy public and private practice. She studied for her PhD at Cambridge University, University College London and the University of Sydney, and continues her academic pursuits by teaching and examining for RANZCO. She began her laser vision correction career in 2012 with Dr Con Moshegov - under his mentorship succeeded him as Principal Surgeon at Perfect Vision - and there they jointly performed 40,000 laser vision procedures. She is an internationally recognised opinion leader on ICL surgery, and intraocular lenses for which she runs ongoing clinical trials. Dr Alison Chiu currently serves as RANZCO Councillor and as NSW Branch Member.
Dr David Gunn is a Queensland based cornea, cataract and refractive surgeon. He practices at the Queensland Eye Institute, the largest independent academic research institute devoted to eye-related health and diseases in the state. Dr Gunn trained in Medicine with honours, and Ophthalmology in Queensland where he was awarded the K.G. Howsam gold medal in the RANZCO Fellowship. He undertook subspecialty training in corneal and refractive surgery at the Bristol Eye Hospital, United Kingdom.
Dr Gunn has a research focus in advanced keratoconus treatments and laser vision correction. He is a pioneer of CAIRS surgery and introduced the procedure to Australia in 2021. He co-developed CairsPlan.com and has performed several Australian and world first procedures in the area of keratoconus.

Dr Sri Ganesh is the Chairman and Managing Director of Nethradhama Super Speciality Eye Hospital in Bangalore, the first eye hospital in India to receive NABH accreditation. As leader in cataract and refractive surgery, he has been at the forefront of innovations in phacoemulsification and laser vision correction, with over 100 publications in international journals and more than 200 live surgical demonstrations worldwide.
He currently serves as Secretary of the International Intraocular Implant Club (IIIC) and Treasurer of the Asia-Pacific Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (APACRS). His contributions to ophthalmology have been recognised with several honors, including an Honorary FRCS (Glasg), a Doctor of Science from RGUHS, and Fellowship of the World College of Refractive Surgery and Visual Sciences.
Dr Roger Zalvidar is the CEO of the Instituto Zalvidar in Mendoza, Argentina. He is past President of the Refractive Surgery Alliance from 2018-2021.
Dr Zalvidar graduated with honours from the University of Mendoza and completed a Fellowship in Ophthalmic Optics at The University of Arizona Department of Ophthalmology in Tucson, Arizona.
In his desire to take the family business to the next level, Dr Zalvidar completed a Specialisation in Management Skills at The George Washington University of Business. Dr Zalvidar completed three separate programs at the ADEM Business School CPR, American Health Association including a Major in Finance and a Major in Management Development. He also attended the Lancaster Course in Ophthalmology, offered through the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Colby College.
