Professor David Jay Weber is a distinguished professor at UNC Chapel Hill, specialising in Medicine, Paediatrics, and Epidemiology. He holds a Medical Degree from the University of California, San Diego, and a Master’s in Public Health from Harvard University. Prof Weber is Board Certified in multiple disciplines and serves in several leadership roles at UNC Medical Center. He has published over 575 scientific papers and is involved with various national health committees and advisory groups.
His research focuses on healthcare-associated infections, disinfection and sterilisation, emerging infectious diseases, and tuberculosis epidemiology. Prof Weber is also an Associate Editor for several medical journals and an Expert Advisor for Clean Hospitals in Geneva.

FANNY POULON
PhD, Germitec R&D Director
Fanny Poulon, PhD, is the R&D Director at Germitec, leading the design and development of innovative medical devices. She oversees a team advancing UV-C high-level disinfection technology and secured a DeNovo grant for the Chronos device in 2024.
With a PhD in Physics, she combines her expertise in photonics, engineering, and project management to push the boundaries of medical technology. She is passionate about bridging physics and biology and has dedicated her career to advancing healthcare through innovation.
