Prof Weber is Board Certified in multiple disciplines and serves in several leadership roles at UNC Medical Center. He has published over 575 scientific papers and is involved with various national health committees and advisory groups.

His research focuses on healthcare-associated infections, disinfection and sterilisation, emerging infectious diseases, and tuberculosis epidemiology. Prof Weber is also an Associate Editor for several medical journals and an Expert Advisor for Clean Hospitals in Geneva.
