Specialising exclusively in prostate cancer, he is a high-volume surgeon and internationally recognised leader in GU oncology. Trained in London and Melbourne, he holds FRCS (Urol) and FRACS qualifications and has built a highly focused surgical practice dedicated entirely to prostate cancer. Widely published and a frequent global speaker, he has been ranked among Australia’s top urology researchers and is a key contributor to international expert groups and consensus panels. Prof Murphy is also a founding director of Cancer Specialists, Associate Editor for European Urology, and co-host of leading GU oncology podcasts, reflecting his strong commitment to advancing research, education, and global collaboration in prostate cancer care. Read More A/Prof Daniel Moon is a Urological Surgeon specialising in laparoscopic and robotic surgery, prostate cancer management, and post-treatment care. An Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne and former Director of Robotic Surgery at Epworth Healthcare (2012–2017), he has performed over 2,500 robotic procedures. He has pioneered several Australian firsts, including the first robotic cysto-prostatectomy and the establishment of a robotic partial nephrectomy program at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. His contributions include publishing landmark national series in laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, pyeloplasty, and partial nephrectomy. In 2025, he played a key role in introducing single-port surgery in Australia, performing the first single-port robotic partial nephrectomy in the Southern Hemisphere.
