A/Prof Catherine Sinclair
Melbourne, Australia
A dual fellowship-trained neck and thyroid surgeon and laryngologist, A/Prof Sinclair specialises in thyroid nodule treatments by both surgical and non-surgical means.
After becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2010, A/Prof Sinclair was awarded a scholarship to pursue further training in North America, where she completed fellowships in head and neck surgery and laryngology. She has published numerous peer-reviewed papers and consensus statements on thyroid disease, thyroid cancer and operative techniques during thyroid and parathyroid surgeries. Between 2012 and 2021 A/Prof Sinclair worked at Mount Sinai in New York as an Associate Professor and the Director of Head and Neck Surgery at Mount Sinai West, where she performed the first radio frequency ablation of a thyroid nodule in 2019. She subsequently established the inaugural ablative program at that hospital.
Having relocated to Melbourne in January 2021, Prof Sinclair has brought the breakthrough technology with her and is passionate about sharing the minimally invasive procedure with Australian thyroid surgeons.

A pioneer of Thyroid RFA, Prof Baek has been performing and teaching the procedure for over a decade.After completing his post-graduate in 1997, Prof Baek has held numerous academic and hospital appointments in head and neck radiology, and has published almost 400 clinical articles.
